Matthew J. Rettick’s Biography

Matthew J. Rettick’s accomplishments are impressive, but more importantly, his success is the direct result of hard work, persistence, and having a vision.

In 1989, after witnessing his own family struggle financially when his grandparents faced unexpected illness, Matthew made a commitment to himself.  He decided to serve and protect retirees and pre-retirees from retirement issues such as how to avoid paying unnecessary taxes, how to avoid probate, how to stretch assets to last an entire lifetime and how to avoid Medicaid spend-down when nursing home confinement became necessary.  This resulted in the creation of his personal practice, Cornerstone Retirement Group, LLC.  Matthew spent more than a decade devising and perfecting a system that not only attracted retirees to workshops to learn how to avoid or deal with these prevalent problems, but also demonstrated how to be hands-on with retirement planning – to educate all ages about the financial vehicles necessary for them to avoid many financial pitfalls.

Matthew soon became “THE” financial advisor in his area – becoming a $15 million dollar annual producer and ranked in the top 1% of annuity producers in the country.  Insurance companies sought his advice for product development because he recognized changes that would benefit his clients.  He became a regular guest on Nashville’s CBS affiliate, NewsChannel 5 at Mid-Day and has written numerous articles and reports.

2001 became a pivotal year for Matthew.  He had achieved great success as a financial advisor and was greatly satisfied with his personal life – happily married and enjoying success at Cornerstone.  But, Matthew knew that it was time to give something back.  What better way to do this than to create an Insurance Marketing Organization designed specifically for the retirement market?  He had always searched for an IMO that could provide him with the tools and support he needed to succeed, but Matthew never found one that held up to his standards.  So, he created Covenant Reliance Producers, LLC – an organization that would ensure that financial advisors had a place to turn to when they needed training, support, and assistance.  “Some people call me a perfectionist, but if something is worth doing, it’s worth doing well,” says Rettick.  “Covenant was built with that in mind.” CRP soon became one of the fastest-growing IMOs and currently provides assistance to hundreds of elite financial advisors in the nation.

Matthew’s burgeoning career is on the rise and he has no plans of slowing down.  He is an Investment Advisor Representative through Brookstone Capital Management and a licensed insurance agent representing numerous carriers.  In addition, Matthew recently co-authored a book with Physical Fitness guru, Jack LaLanne, which was released in March, 2008.  With his wife, four children, and 13 grandchildren, one could say that Matthew Rettick is “the man with the plan” – several plans in fact.
